As our church develops, we intend to appoint a Church Council made up of the Pastor, Churchwardens (elders), and other members. We receive episcopal oversight from Bishop Martin Morrison of the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church of Southern Africa.
Rev. Bernard N. Howard is a Jewish believer in Jesus. Originally from London, he began following Jesus as the promised Messiah two years after his bar mitzvah (he tells the story here). Bernard has worked in Christian ministry for many years, including three years with Iwerne Holidays, four years with the Association of Evangelists, and three years as an assistant pastor at Christ Church NYC. On very rare occasions, he updates his blog: sixtyguilders.org.
Lane Young joined Good Shepherd after moving to NYC to become Director of Undergraduate Ministry for Christian Union at Columbia University. Lane is originally from Indiana. He served in the army and worked in business before entering full-time ministry. Prior to joining Christian Union, Lane was youth pastor at Church of the Resurrection in Wheaton, Illinois. He and his wife, Michelle, have three grown children.
